This weekend the Mid-South Pullers Association takes its show to Franklin, KY on September 1st. Franklin, KY is located between Russellville & Bowling Green Kentucky. This is the third annual St. Jude/Relay for Life Truck and Tractor pull. The proceeds from this pull will go to benefit both St. Jude and Relay for Life. The Franklin area has a good history in pulling with the likes of Larry (& Monica) Gorham, Brad and Wayne Cook, Billy Johns (Old Willy Makit truck) and Marty Chandler.
The 1-Day event will feature the 6,000# Super Stock, 8,000# Super Stock, 10,000# Pro Stock Tractors, 6,200# Two-Wheel Drive Trucks, & the 9,300# Super Farm tractors. The Southern Impact sled owned and operated by Sam Swann will be there to put the stop on the competition. The first hook will be at 7:00PM following the National Anthem. The pullers will be treated to a little Southern Hospitality because when you register to pull you will be given a coupon for a BBQ or ½ pound hamburger meal!
It should be a great weekend. I hope to see you there!
