The Mid-South Pullers is headed to Lexington, Alabama the first weekend of June for the 30th annual “Heart of Dixie” championship truck and tractor pull. This June 1st and 2nd the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad will the hosting a Grand Mid-South two-day pull that will pay out over $40,000 in prize money. The event will take place at 7:00 pm sharp each night at the Lexington Motor Sports Complex. Lexington is the recipient of the 2004 & 2005 2-Day Pull of the Year award.
The “Heart of Dixie” 2-Day event will have 7 exciting classes each night. The 6,000# Super Stock, 8,000# Super Stock, 10,000# Pro Stock, 6,200# Two-Wheel Drive Trucks, 6,200 # Open Modified Four-Wheel Drive trucks, 9,300# Super Farm, and the 6,000# Pro Stock Four-Wheel Drive trucks will compete for over $40,000 purse money. The Southern Impact sled owned and operated by Sam Swann will be there to put the stop on the competition. Pullers get there early for power & water hookups as they are limited in supply. Registration closes as 6:30PM each night followed by a drivers meeting. Driver introduction will occur at 6:45 followed by our National Anthem and the first hook at 7:00 PM.
On Saturday the pullers and crew will get a taste of southern hospitality when Don Williams of Williams Farms & Trucking provides a BBQ lunch. After lunch you can relax while you fish on the banks of Denny Ritter's stocked catfish pond. Don't forget your rod & reel!
