I've heard it said that there is "no man taller that one that bends over to help a child".  My hat is off to the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity for their efforts.</div> <bR> </tD> </tR> <tR> <tD VALIGN=TOP HEIGHT= 668 WIDTH="596"><div> <I><B>2007 Pull Information</B></I></div> <bR> <div> Murray, KY</div> <bR> <div>      On April 28th the Mid-South Pullers Association kicked off the 2007 pulling season.  This was the first of 26 pulls scheduled in the Mid-South.  The Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity from Murray State University put on the one day event with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.  </div> <bR> <div> It was a beautiful day in Western Kentucky and the night was going to heat up.  Some of the best pullers in the country made their way to the Murray/Calloway county fairgrounds (just outside of Murray, KY) for a night of fierce competition. </div> <bR> <div> The night started off with the 6,000# Super Stock.  This class, by far, was the most colorful class of the night.  When the dust settled Mike Wilhite was on top after he piloted Blue Blazes out to 301.50' on one his patented wheel standing passes.  Larry Phillips, driving Mike Happe's Red Menace International, was second.</div> <bR> <div> The second class of the night, the 9,300# Super Farm, featured seventeen tractors competing for the prize.  Russ Freeze laid some tracks on the rest of the field as his Deere Traxx, a 4430 John Deere, won the class.  Greg Lamb and his “Black Viper” John Deere finished in second.  </div> <bR> <div>      The 8,000# Super Stock was the third class of the night.  Third was fitting since third generation driver Jacob Fuqua guided Tennessee Tracks down the center of the track for the only full pull of the class.  Gus's Toy driven by Russell Davenport was second.</div> <bR> <div>      The last class of the night was the 10,000# Pro Stock.  It was a showdown of Red vs. Green.  Kevin Masterson set the mark to beat when he carried the front end of the River Rat the length of the track on his way to a full pull.  The rest of class came up short until Philip Parish put El Nino out past the full pull mark.  The showdown ended in a draw after some damage was found to the red MX 270.</div> <div>  </div> <div>            It was a great night of pulling that benefited a great children's hospital.
