The Fayette County Young Farmers & Ranchers are getting ready for their annual fundraiser. On August 15th the Fayette County Young Farmers & Ranchers will be holding their 2nd annual Truck and Tractor pull. Last years pull was a complete success raising over $5000.00 for our two charities. Proceeds from the pull will benefit the following:
Tennessee AgrAbility - The Tennessee AgrAbility Project is a cooperative effort of the University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service and Easter Seals in Tennessee. We have joined together to create a project to benefit Tennessee's farmers, farm workers and their family members who have disabilities.
The AgrAbility Project provides individualized services on the farm or at the work setting to help disabled individuals return to farming, the community and independent living. AgrAbility involves the family, community, agricultural professionals and medical and rehabilitation specialists, drawing upon the strengths and experiences of each to help the farmer return to independence. Assistance may be in the form of technical assistance, such as designing modifications for the machinery, farm structures and home, or it may be in the form of counseling, peer support or referrals to appropriate service agencies.
Ag in the class room - Agriculture is one of our major industries in Tennessee and across the nation, yet fewer and fewer people have exposure to farm and ranch life, or even a basic understanding of how food and fiber are produced. Tennessee Agriculture in the Classroom helps students develop an understanding of the food, fiber and landscaping systems and how agriculture affects their daily lives. This knowledge encourages students to function more effectively as agriculturally literate citizens, supportive of wise environmental policies and programs.
The Fayette County Young Farmers & Ranchers are a not for profit group. Our goal is to raise money for our charities and to put on a great event for our community. We would like to offer you a chance to get involved in the sport of truck and tractor pulling as sponsors. Please review the following sponsorship proposals.
