Springfield, TN June 28th 7:00 pm 6, 8, 10, SF, 2, 4, P4 The Mid-South Pullers Association heads to Springfield, TN on June 28th for the sixth annual Summer Nationals Championship Truck and Tractor pull. The fairgrounds are located at 4563 Highway 41 North in Springfield. This is the first of (2) Mid-South pulls at the fairgrounds. The second pull will occur during the Robertson County Fair the first Friday night in September. I talked with Mike Baggett and he informed me that the fairboard has added sand to the track and re-built it for this years pull.  The fair pull is the 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006 winner of the one day pull of the year award. With that in mind this pull will be outstanding. The Springfield area is home to many pullers including Jay & Jacob Fuqua, Bob Barbee, Clint Gregory, Paul White, Don & Randy Head, Randy Groves, and Andy & Will Teasley. The 1-Day event will feature 7 exciting classes. The 6,000# Super Stock, 8,000# Super Stock, 10,000# Pro Stock, 6,200# Two-Wheel Drive Trucks, 6,200# Open Four-Wheel Drive Trucks, 9,300# Super Farm, and the 6,000# Pro Stock Four-Wheel Drive trucks will compete. Sam Swann and his Southern Impact sled will be there to put the stop on the competition. If you're headed to the pull admission is $15.00 with children 5 and under free. Just a word of warning…You will not be able to take coolers into the fairgrounds. The gates open Saturday at 5PM with the first hook beginning at 7:00PM following the National Anthem.
